 Adult Faith Formation

All adult parishioners are invited to join in exploring our Catholic faith.  We meet immediately following Mass on Sundays and begin each session by reading the Gospel and briefly discussing it.  We then move the discussion to a variety of topics pre-selected by the group.  Recent topics include an in-depth study of salvation history, and the Ten Commandments.

This food for the soul is frequently accompanied by food for the body in the form of coffee, tea, homemade coffee cakes, muffins, etc.

Discussions are always lively, interesting, informative, and fun!

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (R.C.I.A.)

R.C.I.A. is the process for receiving adults into the Catholic faith through Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist.  The class schedule is flexible and set according to need.  Anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith is welcome, as well as any Catholic willing to share time in prayer and formation as part of the R.C.I.A. process.  For more information, please contact Carol Heilman.

    Pre-School & Elementary

Lucia Hughes and Becky Heady have a lot of fun with the children as they read Bible stories, work on art projects, learn about saints, and learn about their Catholic faith.  They meet in the Parish Hall every  Sunday following Mass.

Junior and Senior High School Youth

Liz Barker’s goal is to empower our youth to fully engage themselves in the community of faith believers; to live out their baptismal call as “Disciples of Christ”; and to experience community through fellowship, service and leadership.
The Junior High (7th- 8th grades) group meets on Sundays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Cotter Center, Shelbyville.
The Senior High (9th-12th grades) group meets on Sundays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Cotter Center, Shelbyville.
All are welcome!
